(a) Responsible to: Registered Manager, Deputy and Team leader
(b) Responsible for Service Users and Support Staff
(c) Working Hours: 40Hrs (Flexi Time) including weekends and bank holidays (d) Salary Range: £12.30ph
(e) NVQ Level 2 in Social Care or equivalent (or be willing to work towards a level 3)
(f) Essential Experience: Minimum 2 years Previous experience of working with adults who have Learning
disabilities Autism and who may also have other Disabilities including, mobility, sensory, behavioural or mental
health conditions. Able to supervise both care staff and service users in the absence of the Home’s Manager/
Deputy
Job Summary (Description of main purpose of job):
Provide positive behaviour support to service users ensuring a personalised care delivery. Promote service user independence and skill building ensuring residents goal achievement. Ensure the staff team provide a person-centred approach. To ensure residents are supported to maintain their environment. Provide personal care and support for adults with learning disabilities who may also have physical and sensory disabilities, and challenging behaviour. Provide support and supervision to adults with specific health care needs. Assist the manager and his/her deputy to carry out duties to ensure the smooth running of the care home within the legal requirements of CQC. Key working with service users living in residential care home. Attend service users’ care planning reviews. Liaise with other health or social care professionals involved in service user’s care. To support service users in their leisure and social activities. To act as shift leader. To carry out any other duties requested by manager/senior manager
