(a) Responsible to: Registered Manager/Deputy Manager
(b) Responsible for Service Users and Support Staff
(c) Working Hours: 40Hrs (Flexi Time) including weekends and bank holidays (d) Salary Range: From £13.40ph

(e) NVQ Level 2/Diploma Level 2 in either Social Care or Health and Social Care or equivalent

(f) NVQ/QCF Level 3 or willing to gain this qualification

(g) Essential Experience: Minimum 2 years Previous experience of working with adults with complex needs. Experience of managing staff and conflict resolution. Experience of working in multi-agency environment

Job Summary (Description of main purpose of job):

To support the provision of a safe, cost effective, quality service within the local area. This will involve working alongside the Registered Manager in the service delivery to individuals who have learning disabilities, autism, profound complex health and or behavioural needs and which enables them to maximise their independence, maintain family relationships and access community opportunities.

To represent the organisation in a positive way through the interaction with external partners, including purchasers, the people we support, carers, families, and communities and to contribute to the organisational objectives.

To ensure that the rights of the individuals we support are upheld and promoted at all times in accordance with our values. To ensure that the records of the individuals we support are maintained in accordance with policy and procedure and to regularly review such documents.

To organise staff resources effectively to deliver excellent service at all times. To carry out quality assurance reviews and be involved in carrying out pre-commencement assessments.

To support staff and pro-actively coach, mentor and develop less experienced staff to provide a high quality service.
