Meet our Operations Manager

Steve McDermott has recently joined the Sahara Care team as Operations Manager and reflects here on his first impressions of the organisation and his goals for the future. Steve brings a wealth of experience to the business and we are delighted to have him on board.

“Joining Sahara Care has been such a positive and welcoming experience. I have been so impressed with how our core values are central to what we do and form the foundation for us  to continually improve the personalised services we deliver.

I started as a support worker in Adult Social Care 29 years ago and each one has been a challenging yet rewarding experience. During this time, I have delivered various models of support and services for people with disabilities and support needs.

Leading operations, living our values and placing the people we support at the centre of what we do truly excites me. My aim is to continually improve the quality of our current services to ensure that we are delivering the best possible outcomes for those we support.

My vision is for Sahara Care to be the best local care and support provider, enabling both the people we support and our team members to prosper and develop.”
