Sahara Care looks to continually motivate, engage, encourage and support our staff teams across all our facilities. We see recognition in the workplace as hugely important in ensuring that our employees feel respected and valued.  These are a few of our recent Employee Award winners with a short background as to why they were nominated:

Ayobami Ogunrinde – Sahara Lodge and Gardens

“I chose caring for people as a career path because it gives my life a purpose. Empathy, one of my core traits, has played an integral part in shaping my career aspirations. I gain such personal joy and satisfaction from caring for those who require support. I have had the opportunity of working in various care establishments, and I have always considered the fusion of a good employer and employee as the ultimate recipe for outstanding care. At Sahara Care, in addition to top notch care; good governance and proper staffing is prevalent within the organisation. I am well supported and benefit immensely from regular supervision and a friendly work environment, which boosts my confidence and incentivises me to function to my full capacity.” Ayobami Ogunrinde – May 2022

Mariama Diakite -Parkside

“We felt that Mariama’s professionalism, solution focussed approach and commitment to supporting two people move into our Parkside Supported Living facility was really inspiring and demonstrated our values of Individuality, Dignity and Choice. Mariama was identified as an excellent candidate from our team to work with the family and build a strong relationship to ensure that the move to our facility would be as seamless as possible. Mariama has thrived with this additional responsibility and worked above and beyond including taking on additional hours in order that the move was a great success.”
