Employee of the Quarter – Chanchel Johal (Chan)

Chan is someone who goes above and beyond and this is demonstrated perfectly in her approach to her role. Without exception, she makes everything seem effortless and nothing is any trouble for her.

At the end of last year, she offered her services to work over the Christmas period and personally transported staff that were going to struggle otherwise to get to work.

She also swapped her working hours from day to night for a time to help us cover care for our residents over the night-time period.

When we held our celebration event for our 25-year anniversary in November, Chan came in on her day off and cooked all morning to deliver an amazing buffet for the guests. She then joined the residents, staff and special guests to help celebrate this special occasion!

Chan is a key member of staff who is entrusted with inducting and training our new team members. By shadowing Chan, we know that each new starter will be fully briefed on our core values of Individuality, Dignity and Choice.

Chan has the experience, training and skillset to work with all our residents and she takes great pride in offering support and guidance to less experienced members of the team – a true mentor!

We are so grateful to Chan for all that she does for Sahara Care and our residents.
