At Sahara Care, we want life in our assisted living and supported living services in London and Essex to be the most positive possible experience for service users.

Making a referral

So when we receive a referral, we follow a robust admissions procedure, including a comprehensive assessment of the prospective service user, which includes spending time with them and talking to family, friends and other stakeholders, to ensure we can provide the care and support that will meet their needs and aspirations.

We recognise that each of our services is a community where the needs, wishes and lifestyle of each service users must be respected, in order to create a positive environment for everyone.

So the transition process is carefully managed, with opportunities for the new service user to visit the home and spend time with people already living there.

Each new service user comes to us for a one-month initial period, after which we carry out a review to ensure that the service user is comfortable and happy with us and that our services are meeting their needs and goals.
